Our team is dedicated to the comprehensive planning, analysis and optimization of operations that extract mineral raw materials in surface mining. This includes hard rock mining, including quarrying, and loose rock mining in dry and wet forms.

The focus of our scientific work is not only the economic effectiveness and efficiency of the various extraction processes - loosening, loading, conveying and crushing - but also the guarantee of occupational and process safety, the sustainable design and the consideration of the environmental and climate compatibility of each individual process step.

Through close cooperation with leading Austrian industrial partners, we use our expertise in practical research projects. This means that newly acquired knowledge can quickly be incorporated into the teaching and training of future raw materials engineers.
